Missing Disney Anime Titles

Disney+ has a large collection of animated movies and TV series, but one thing Disney+ is lacking massively when compared to the likes of Netflix is an anime library. Disney owns a grand total of eleven anime series and movies (eight of which are Marvel titles) but only two of them are actually streaming on Disney+ in the US, so let's look at which ones are missing.

Disney owns a grand total of eleven anime series and movies (eight of which are Marvel titles) but only two of them are actually streaming on Disney+ in the US, so let’s look at which ones are missing.

So which anime titles are available to stream?

At the time of writing Disney+ is only streaming two of the Disney owned anime series, those being Super Robot Monkey Hyperforce Go! (2004) and Marvel’s Future Avengers (2017).

Which anime titles are missing?

Disney+ currently doesn’t stream the anime series Fireball (2008), Blade (2011), Iron Man (2010), X-men (2011), Wolverine (2011), Iron Man: Rise Of Technovore (2013), Avengers Confidential Black Widow & Punisher (2014), Disk Wars: The Avengers (2014), and Stitch! (2008)

Which ones do Disney own streaming rights to?

Due to existing distribution agreements for a majority of the Marvel anime series and movies the only missing titles that Disney has the streaming rights for are Fireball, Disk Wars: The Avengers and Stitch! I expect to see Disney buy out the existing agreement for the Marvel anime titles, eventually.

If you want to see these titles sooner rather than later don’t forget to request the titles on the Disney+ feedback page.
